In the Georgian Stable Block converted in 1995, are the Gallery Café, the museum's shop and galleries.
The attractive Gallery Café has seating for 60, and on warm days, you are welcome to sit outside at the courtyard tables, sheltered by the old walls of honey-coloured stone. A continental atmosphere in a very English location!
English and Continental cuisine, excellent value for money. All meals are freshly prepared for your enjoyment and the menu is varied throughout the season.
Delicious cakes and scones are available, many of which are made on the premises.
We are also licensed to serve wine.
Our menu changes throughout the season and can include:-
• steak and kidney pie
• roast derbyshire gammon salad
• homemade quiche
• fresh poached salmon salad
• normandy pork
• mixed bean hotpot

The Café is also available for hire for private lunches, dinners and other functions.
No hire charge: you simply pay for your catering.
If you prefer the Rex Whistler Room, please contact the Events Office on 01246 432310 who will be happy to give you information about cost, availability and facilities available.
On Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays customers can choose Weigh & Pay ; they pick their meal from a hot and cold buffet in exactly the quantities they want, putting the food on a plate and paying for it by weight.
Groups visiting the hall are able to pre-order lunch to be served at a time that will fit into the day’s itinerary, with reserved seating in the café.
